Has anyone traveled to India? Tell me your opinion?

This summer, I plan to travel to India, with a group. The travel agency told me that no malaria pills or vaccination are needed anymore. Has anyone traveled there? Could you tell me if it’s worth? We’ll visit Delhi, Jaipur, Varanasi, Kashmir. Did you like your trip there? What must I be careful with? Is there a lot of sightseeing?

And why to go to India during the rainy season?! Strange travel agents….. The risk of malaria is the highest during this time, but no need to panic, just wear the clothes, which cover all your body parts. And try to avoid going near the trees and bushes. Rain might not stop for days in worst case for weeks….. Hope you will be lucky!
All the places you mentioned are great and worth to see them. Not to make this answer a lecture I’ll recommend you to search for the information about all the places in Google.
The most careful you must be with water, since it’s just different everywhere and you are not used to it. Also do not try to eat Indian cuisine even if everyone is eating at the roadside of somewhere else. Even if dishes are healthy, you are not used to such a food and Indian hygienic norms are different. So water only in new bottles and companies like Bisleri, Kinley, Kingfisher, Coco-Cola etc (means well known once) and no Indian food from outside, since foreigners often get terrible diarrhea.
If you do not want any attention from locals, do not wear any open clothes even if you feel hot. Decent clothes are good and best, will protect you from possible sun and mosquitoes as well.
